The person behind the science
Hi, I'm Zil e Norain. My path into nutrition and food safety was driven by a simple conviction: that what we eat shapes everything — our energy, our resilience, our long-term health — and that too many people lack access to trustworthy, practical guidance about it.
After completing my Bachelor's degree in Nutrition and Dietetics, I continued into an MPhil in Food Safety and Control, where my research deepened my understanding of how food reaches us and the critical checkpoints that keep it safe. Along the way, clinical and industry internships — at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and the Yum Group of Industries — gave me the real-world perspective that no classroom can fully replicate.
Outside the lab and clinic, I've spent years as a competitive martial artist, earning national medals in both karate and taekwondo. The discipline, structure, and mental focus that sport demands have shaped the way I approach every professional challenge — with consistency, patience, and an appetite for continuous improvement.
I also create content on nutrition and wellness, because I believe science should be communicated clearly, not locked away in academic journals. Whether through a detailed consultation or a short post, my goal is the same: to give people the knowledge they need to make confident choices about their health.
